Raj travels is Pathetic!!!!.....I am attatching the Letter that been have written to Mr Lalit sheth....the so called proud owner of this stupid Raj Travels....about his experiences with them. Mr Lalit Sheth,
Very sadly, I am writing to you my embarrassing & shameful experience with
Raj travels & tours Ltd.
I had booked for a Goa package (3 days 2 nights package at The Beach Hotel, Goa) through Ketan (your staff) from your Charni Road office on 13 June 2007.
On Friday when we reached Panjim, we were told by the Bus Captain that we won’t be dropped till the Hotel (very much not in line with what was promised to
us) and we will have to take our own transport to Hotel. After much push and pursuation, the Captain finally got in touch with the your Mumbai office and agreed to finally drop us at the Hotel booked for us.
Then on Sunday, at 6.30pm when the Bus didn’t arrive, I called up Ketan to ask him about the bus & he again assured me that the bus is on its way to the hotel and I shall stay there. This is the time the whole big chaos actually started. After this call, I along with the The Beach Hotel, Manager (Amit) and the other staff of the Hotel were continuously on call with Ketan, the Driver of the Bus-Prakash and with the other staff from your Mumbai office (Rupal, etc) to understand from where and when the would the Bus pick us up. Everyone from your side had something different to say, they all together added to the confusion.
Again at 9 pm, we were informed (by Ketan) not to move out since the Bus is on its way
& some other staff of yours said some other vehicle is on its way to pick us from the Hotel & drop us at Panjim, where the bus was actually standing. Then, at 9.30, someone from your Mumbai office asked Amit to arrange a cab for us to reach Panjim. While on our way to Panjim in the cab, we once again called up
the bus driver to request him to wait for us, but Prakash rudely told us he has left with the bus for Mumbai and is not going to wait for us.
After this, we once again called up Ketan who is not even aware that the Bus has left and infact yelled at us, god alone knows why, possibly, for his own mistake. Now, we knew Raj travel Bus is not waiting for us, and another Bus of yours would now be available only next day evening. The cab Driver informed us that
there wouldn’t be any other transport facility (say state transport Buses/ train)
also available at this late hour in Goa for Mumbai.
This is the way we were left unsheltered, unattended, stranded in middle of our trip by your people on the
unknown and all haunted Goan streets at 10.30 pm in the night. We somehow managed to convince the cab driver to drop us till Goa Airport where we found from the Airport staff that the Airport there shuts at sharp 6 pm in the evening and no one is allowed to wait in the Airport vicinity (not even in
the waiting room) and that no Mumbai flights are available till next day morning.
Out of option, we described our grim situation and requested the security staff at the Airport, who ultimately convinced about our bad plight, allowed us to spend our night outside the Airport vicinity, there on the floor, with the dogs, mosquitoes, lizards, etc; out there.
Once again I called up Ketan, and to my utter surprise, he yells and says, its my mistake that I am calling him again and again and not letting him do his work. Further, we had to return by flight in the morning at our own cost. Two days have passed by since then, but none of your people have even bothered
to call us, so I have directly approached you. Sir, I hope you can find enough time from your busy schedule & inquire into this matter.
