I am back on this website after good more than one year's gap. This time I have strong reason for my comeback, to warn you all people how disastrous can be if you plan to Travel by Raj National Express.
Normally, I do write some mixed reactions. Some good some bad, to give you an idea to you guys, about the experience I had with particular product or service. This time its Raj National Express. (RNE).
RNE service is pathetic to say at the least.
I travelled on 3 occasions, first in June 2007 from Pune to Bangalore. The bus was late for good two hours. I somehow digested this thinking an incident.
On Second occasion I travelled from Hyderabad to Pune. Let me tell you I struggling to find words to let you guys know how terrific the bus was. The bus was making noise and vibrating all the journey along. I could not have even good 5 minutes sleep. Thats not worth at all for your had earned money.Even if you travel by Ordinary govt. bus, you would have good journey plus the money savings.
On third occasion on 16/11/2007. I again booked by RNE from Pune to Bangalore. This time I am not only struggling but at loss of words to describe about the poor service.This time I was helpless to, because KSTRC buses were booked and I had to leave Pune only in evening and reach Bangalore by morning. So only option I was left with was to travel with RNE. I came early from work, sacrificing all my commitments at work only to discover that bus will leave at 9 PM instead of 5:30 PM. It was blood boiling experience to hear that I would reach Bangalore late where I had to take exam. You guys can imagine the degree of anxiety I underwent while praying to lord to take me early to Bangalore.
And Yes, I should tell you the reason for delay I was told. : Express Highway between Mumbai and Pune was closed and there is traffic jam on old highway. It would convince any one but me. And if you know that was not real reason, you too would go mad.Two KSRTC buses which were to arrive and leave Pune at 6:30 and 7:30 PM and come on time and left on time. And what the heck was the reason with RNE ? Has the management got so worst than KSRTC a govt. run institution ? Let me tell you guys , opt for KSRTC whenever you can or any other travel but not RNE. RNE is the worst of all.
I was determined to find out the real reason for delay and it did not take long time for me to do. Real reason : **The bus was at RTO for passing and hence the delay.
Now you wonder, why the heck this was done at the expense of customer time ? Isn't it unfair to all the travellers ? If RNE requires to comply statutatory things, they can do very well but not at cost of customers' time right ? They should have made alternate bus available to this bus should have been scheduled to another destination say Hyderabad which leaves Pune at 10 PM.
Any illiterate would have done this management, It doesn't require to hold MBA degree to know this.
And you know what the bus reached Bangalore at good 1:30 PM instead of 8:00 AM. I almost missed my exam. Went through exam hall carrying my luggage, getting late, begging the authorities to let me write exam and I could not refresh myself, no water and no food, sleepy eyes this how I wrote exam and this is how I had to spend the day.
You know what, I am strongly feeling that I should let them give back all or part of this trouble. I am planning to take them to consumer court ( You guys please write me what should I do). Well, their terms and conditions may say anything but this was certainly within their control to arrange for a alternate bus and give good service to their customers.
This is what you get, after paying more money . Not at all worth. RNE is heading nowhere let alone becoming tour operator of first choice.
