I stayed here for a few days in January 17. Having stayed at other hotels across India, I can compare it with them.
Radisson Jalandhar is an older existing hotel bought out by Radisson and rebranded. Due to large number of NRIs and business visitors, the hotel is well patronised. However, there seems to be an air of despondence around. The location is good, right on GT Road. The rooms are reasonable enough though a tad smaller than most other places. The bathrooms are also slightly compact. However, it being an old property, these come with the structure.
The reception staff is pleasant but slightly slow or maybe they are overburdened. had to wait for 20 minutes at check in, this when I called ahead and informed them of my time of arrival. The serving staff at buffet is good but seemingly short-staffed especially at breakfast. The menu is good and reasonably well rounded at all meals except lunch when there is limited choice.
The room service is good and very quick. I was impressed.
Overall, a good hotel at Jalandhar though there is quite some room for improvement, starting with the ambience which is showing signs of wear, in that the upholstery, lighting and general upkeep and look of the place.
Will stay there again though hope to see some improvement.
