A SAD SAD excuse of how to run a school

Well, being a foreigner, I feel compelled to share my insight concerning the faults and the positives of the Presidency School experience. The first and most glaring example of how NOT to run a school is to totally disrespect and/or humiliate both the parents and the students of your institution. "Principal" Thangadurai has managed to do both at an alarming rate.

He seems to be MUCH more concerned about pomp and braggadacio and making himself look grand while the facilities suffer. The over general education is nothing too grand, yet this pompous man aggrandizes even the most minor thing, and seems to lavish praise on himself and Presidency at every opportunity, while totally ignoring concerns or even the slightest criticisms with the wave of a hand, as if he is a grand puppeteer and all of his puppets are either doing as he totally desires, or they will be tossed into the fire.

Numerous times, with no forewarning whatsoever, he would have the parents wait in the heat, or the rain, whilst he and his worshipers sat under tents enjoying their tea or whatnot. He is aloof to even the slightest suggestion or complaint, and refuses to listen to any advice someone might levy. My challenge to you is this: try simply talking to the man. If you can pull him away from either of the many cellphones the bigshot seems to be glued to, consider it a miracle.

It's obvious Presidency is interested in one thing, and one thing only...money. And they pretty much have it figured out, the politicians are the ones who decide if you can be certified to teach; and without that certification (money in their pocket), they'll find a way to "make it difficult" for educators to run their own school.

So Thangadurai finds neat little ways to line his pockets like charging 500 rupees for a costume for a bogus holiday, or jacking up the tuition yearly.  Unfortunately, no one will be the better off for it, except his wallet or the politician's wallet that he serves.

Good luck India-with your education system. I mean it. I feel sorry for Indians who deserve MUCH better than schools like Presidency. Get rid of Thangadarai and you'll see immediate improvement.
