Truly seductive, great lasting and hmmmm exotic smelling that can be spelled POISON but should be read Passion. Though there are plenty of frangrances available in Indian market of international brand/repute but nothing beats this one.POISON. There is nothing poisonous about it as the top note of the fragrance is woody which then translates to musky notes. It creates wonderful aura around the person who is wearing it.
The first bottle of Poison was gifted to me by some overseas relative. By that time I had only heard the brand name "Dior" but had not used any product by the brand. Once I started using the perfume I found that it was an unmatched fragrance. During the time of usage I had been using many other fragrances of international repute but this one really I was sold on and consequently I started using it sparingly, reserving it for special occassions. But as all good things come to an end, my prized posssion too came to the inevitable. end. Post consumption of that gifted bottle, I became almost restless to possess another one because I thought it is a must have frangrance for me. So I began hunting the Indian hi-ended store for my favourite perfume. Though
many high ended stores in Delhi viz. Globus, Ebony, Shoppers' stop, Big Jo's etc. are selling "Dior" brand of cosmetics but they had add on variants of POISON. I do not exactly recollect their extension names, they were in purple & white bottle of same shape as that of Pure POISON.
Every time I approached the'DIOR' counter in the multi branded show rooms and asked for
POISON perfume, I was shown those various coloured bottles. red, white, purple, black but
somehow that green bottle was out of stock and the sales personnel at the counter coaxed me
to try out newer version.i tested them all but somehow I was reluctant to try out the other
variants. On many occassions I settled for different other fragrances in the persuit. But kept
on hunting for my favourite version of POISON.
One fine day at a not so famously branded store, I spotted that green bottle in the show case.
A real hustled me paid a visit to that non-descript outlet and without testing made an immediate purchase simply on the assurance of the salesman that they stock only genuine product.
Upon using the purchased POISON I found the top note was definitely similar to the one brought for me from the States but it did not last more than a couple of hours. Thereafter I have made it a point to pester friends and relations visiting abroad to get at least one bottle of Poison for me.
