''Piya Basanti'' is the album by Ustad Sultan Khan & Chitra.

Ustad Sultan Khan is world-renowned sarangi exponent. He has in the past worked with the likes of George Harrison, Madonna and Tavlin Singh.

Chitra, the nightingale of South India has created a formidable reputation as a playback singer. Her entry into Hindi films was crowned by the National Award for Best Singer in 1997 for the song ''Payali Chunmun Chunmun'' from the movie Virasat.

''Piya Basanti'' is the celebration of love. A musical journey that explores all shades, tones and mature tones of Ustad Sultan Khan with the Chitra's voice to creat musical magic. Sandesh Shandilya (the young composer who has to his credit two successful music albums ''Pyar Ke Geet'' & ''I Love You'') effortlessly blends the sarangi with the saxaphone, the dholak with drums, Indian classical and folk with Western pop and jazz, to create a unique harmony.
