This Review is in concern with my experiences with some recent transactions that I made with Paytm.com! It was not a good experience with Paytm and I also had raised complaints with PayTM care but my issues have not been resolved yet.

I have tried to make this review very informative and also have attached all the proofs and issues screenshots! However Mousthshut.com allows only two pictures to be uploaded so, I am attaching the most appropriate screenshots here.


ISSUE 1:- ELECTRICITY BILL PAYMENT OF JANUARY FROM PAYTM BUT CASHBACK CODE NOT RECEIVED.(OrderID 2712852841| Amount: Rs. 862| Date: 08.02.2017)


Paytm was offering an electricity bill payment code LED125 with every bill payment. After successful payment of bill, they assured me that within 72 hours(3 days), I will receive a unique code through SMS and E-mail, that can be used to receive a discount of Rs. 125 on the purchase of LED Bulbs from PayTM. 12 Days have passed as on 21.02.2017 but I have not received any promo code yet. I called upon Paytm customer care on 18.02.2017 where they made a ticket ID #22079351 and asked a time of 72 hours more(as shown in the email screenshot). As on today i.e. 21.02.2017, 72 hours have passed and I have received no response from PayTM.


They do not take interest in customer issues and never resolves any issue. I CAN NEITHER ASK FOR A REFUND BECAUSE THE BILL HAS BEEN CLEARED WITH THE BILLER nor I can call the customer support daily and ask them 100 times to send my code. I have again sent them a mail regarding the complaint ticket and will surely update their response on Mouthshut.com(only if they give a response). This shows their ignorance and irresponsible attitude.


ISSUE 2:- ELECTRICITY BILL PAYMENT OF DECEMBER 2016 FROM PAYTM(OrderID 2521337575| Amount: Rs. 387| Date: 04.01.2017)

PromoCode PAY2WIN was offered by Paytm which had the scheme that one lucky winner would win an APPLE IPHONE 6s with a successful bill payment and the winner would be announced on 03.02.2017(I could have attached a screenshot if mouthshut allowed more than two screenshots. If anyone wants detailed info on this, can ask in the comments section).


Offer was nice and I wished to try my luck and so I jumped a flat 10% cashback code and applied this lucky PAY2WIN code. But Paytm has not given the prize to any lucky winner and has not announced any winner yet. They should not do such fraud acts if they do not wish to give such offers. They should not fool the customers by showing these schemes which are actually scams.


It has been twice when I am paying my Electricity bill through PayTM and I am fooled here twice. So, obviously I am not going to opt for Paytm anymore. I would look somewhere where they do not atleast fool their customers and also provide proper service and support to the customers.


Hope this review is useful and clearly shows the reality of the Giant Online wallet company PayTM.
