Was in Pattaya for three days last month, and those three days felt too little, for the amount of entertainment the city has to offer. Nightlife is absolutely great and we managed to get just 2 –3 hours of sleep every night.

The exchange rate for Bhat to Rupees is only 1.2, so you don’t really feel a pinch, as one would do in a western country.

Go in for a massage, there are many to chose, from the traditional to the erotic. And mind you, Thai women don’t get embarrassed like we Indians do. You just have to say what you want and they will gladly oblige, for a price.

Not to miss is the Alcazar show. It’s a cabaret with only transvestites. You would never know the difference; they are all so beautiful as long as they keep their mouth shut.

Best way to commute is a hired bike. It’s not too expensive. For a basic scooter you would have to pay a deposit of B1000, which is refundable, and a daily fare of around

B 250 (half tank petrol included). You could also commute using a TUK TUK. It’s a rickshaw that seats around 10 people. They are available everywhere and cost B10 for non-Thais and B5 for Thais.

Take a speedboat ride to Coral island; the beach is much better there. Lots of water sports to enjoy. You can go parasailing there too. The underwater sea walk is not such a big hit, as the water is not really clean or clear.

A must is a walk down ''Walking Street', at night. It’s lined with ‘gogo’ bars, pubs, discos, and you could even get to sing with a live band. There is also a very nice seafood restaurant on Walking Street. You can pick your live lobster or crab, and they would cook and serve it for you.

If you’re planning to go to Thailand or anywhere in the Far East for a holiday do not miss Pattaya.
