I booked my trip to Kerala from Delhi on 4th feb’12 with Paras Holidays represented at that time by Mr. Amit. I had travelled earlier to Singapore, Malaysia & Hongkong, Makau & China with this company which were really well organsied trips. So I tried my domestic tour also with them but that proved to be mistake.
When I approached them initially for my Kerala trip, I was offered some hotels which I didn’t like so, I suggested the hotels of my choice after going through various reviews on the net.
Then on 28th jan’12, I got the final quote for the hotels of my choice from Mr. Amit. The itinerary and the details of the hotels was:
02 Nights accommodation at Munnar at Eastend Munnar /Super deluxe.
01 Night accommodation at Thekkady at Wild Corridor / Super Deluxe Room.
01 Night accommodation at Alleppy at Dlx House Boat.
02 Nights accommodation at Kovalam at Hotel Country Spa/ Beach View Superior Rooms.
But, When I reached there, the car which was allotted to me had problems with the A/C.
Secondly the hotel which was committed to me in Thekkady was wild corridor but they allotted Tusker Trails to me where there were spiders in the room.
Then, I had asked for the best category of houseboat and Amit had allotted me the deluxe one, but on reaching Alleppy I found that premium was the top bracket. My houseboat was full of lizards, cockroaches and insects .I already have sent photographs to Amit.
Then in Kovalam they gave me Abad Harmonia instead of Country Spa, from there beach was too far, whereas they had committed me to give a beach view room there.
I had also paid Rs.3600 for Safari, which we did not take and were assured by Amit that the amount would be refunded.
I called Amit numerous times during the trip for the complaints I was facing but he failed to do anything . After coming back I went to their office at Karol bagh on 13th Feb’12 to complaint directly, then Amit said to me to send him the photographs so that he could talk to his suppliers. It has been more than a month and when I called him to inquire of the update, he didn’t even take my call.
