I used to travel with paramount for business and leisure. Though the inflight services of this airline is excellent. However, I have now stopped travelling with paramount.
1) Too many bad surprises in travel. I once had to travel to Notheast from Chennai. The flight travel takes close to 5hrs. And on that week, Paramount had some issues with its inflight food suppliers. So the passengers were made to travel without any food in the flight for 5 hrs! We were given no notice about stoppage od food services before flight. The cabin crew simply apologized for it. But took no actions to serve during the entire duration of the flight :(
The same was repeated for my return journey also!
2) Just about a week ago paramount cancelled almost all the flights. I came to know through newspapers that paramount hasn't paid lease for its aircraft engines and hence the Airports Authority has de-registered 3 of 5 paramount's aircrafts. Paramount has been making delayed payments to its lease agents for 3 years in line (since 2008). The airport authorities and paramount's lessors (GE CAS) are annoyed with paramount's business practices. Also, Paramount is supposed to give us alternate bookings when flights are cancelled. But it never does it!
3) Paramount charges twice extra for its tickets in comparison with other airline tickets. And all we get for that extra money paid is dissatisfaction and uncertainty.
Paramount doesn't aim to please its suppliers, customers, not even the regulatory authorities. Don't know for what reason they operate the business!
