Upto (very small) 50 % Off (very big) is something that greets us all the time (end of season sales!). Very Good. Every one gets shopping buying things that are required or not (no complaints). But what gets onto my nerves is that there is no 50% discount stuff available (most of the time it is sold out! - even if you went on the day the sale started).
I think what Pantaloon (or as a matter of fact any business) should do is put some more details (for the likes of me) .. 50% discount on 1% of items, 40 % discount on 10% of items, 30% discount on 10% of items .. no discount on 40% of items to give the consumer a feel for what to expect inside the store. Well this might sound ridiculous - but this will be in tune with the ethos of advertising.
Well, I am pretty sure now or later there will be a mandatory requirement that businesses put the kind of information that I am suggesting? Pantaloon, will you be a leader and do it?
Folks, any idea whom to write about lack of information in advertisement in India?
