I was looking for a Caller ID Cordless Phone and had seen the Sony, Sanyo and the Panasonic. I decided on the Panasonic because I have always used Panasonic Cordless Phones absolutely trouble free and this one was the only one with the Power Failure Backup Feature. Also, the Backlit LCD Display and the Lighted Handset Keypad prompted me to purchase Panasonic.
The features are:
Called ID ? stores upto 50 Incoming numbers with Date and Time stamp.
Backlit 3-Line LCD for the Handset - shows the Battery Power display too
Lighted Handset Keypad
Extra Range Plus - Extendable Antenna
30 names and numbers can be stored alphabetically for automatic dialing.
Speed Dialing for 10 numbers
Private Name Display ? If the caller?s phone number is the same as one of the stored numbers in the memory directory, the display will show the caller?s name and the phone number.
Easy Navigator Key for using the menu
Base Dialing with Speakerphone
Upto 6 Hours Talk time and upto 20 days standby battery life
FSK/DTMF Compatible
The best feature is the Power Failure Backup ? enables use with the backup battery box during power failure. The backup battery box uses 8 Alkaline Batteries. This is very useful in India as we have power failures reasonably often.
Speech quality is fabulous.
The only negative factor that I see in this Cordless Phone is that there is no Caller ID Memory for outgoing calls. The Outgoing Caller ID Feature is useful to recall some numbers and also helps in redialing incase you are making innumerable calls.
