Unusable in heat mode. Room cycles hot to cold. Cannot maintain even temperature. No control of fan in heat mode. A typical cycle is 5-10 minutes on, 5-10 minutes off. Fan shuts off, in between heat operations. No control of fan in heat mode. Overseas customer service confirm this is by design, to save electricity. Result is alternating between freezing and frying, and the Noise! The inside cabinet is under constant thermal stress, hot, cold, hot, be prepared for never ending creaking and cracking, all day and night.
I have 5 other units in th e house, different brands. Big mistake buying Panasonic. No Australian contact help. Be prepared for the overseas dead end, long queue lip service call centre. Ironic point is I bought it due high star energy rating. It will SAVE electricity this winter, as I will leave it off
