Oneplus One(OPO) is a budget friendly high end smartphone for the masses, I can't put it any better, it is what it is!

Coming at around a third of the price of major flagships it really holds its own.

DESIGN AND BUILD

OPO just looks stunning especially when you first take it out of the box you feel you have received a gift and the journey continues after that.

With a chrome finish around the large glass display it really looks premium.

At back you have a sandpaper sort of finish or a rough velvet type of finish would be a good way to describe it.

In india you have only version as of now which is the black sandstone 64gb version.

The impressively sharp display is a 5.5in IPS LCD captive touchscreen boasting 16M colors and resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels with a pixel density of 401 ppi. Colors are deep, resolution sharp. Multi-touch works well on the Corning Gorilla Glass 3.

HARDWARE AND SPECS

OPO comes with a snapdragon 801 processor, a quad core chip clocked at 2.5Ghz and adreno 330 graphics card. This means you have enough power to run any app and game available on the playstore, a beast for sure.

With a 3100MAh battery it lasts for over 24 hours easily and getting screen on times between 6-8 hours which makes it one of the best battery friendly phones in the market currently.

The body is not too huge considering they have a 5.5 inch screen, being shorter than iPhone6 plus which also has a 5.5 inch screen says a lot about this phone.

Also it weighs 10g lighter than iPhone6 plus at 162g so handling is not an issue if you have medium sized hands. The speakers on this phone are worth mentioning, they are loud and crisp and a joyful experience to listen, if you consume a lot of media then you will love this phone.

CAMERA

Boasting a 13mp sensor with dual led flash the pictures turn out very well in good lighting conditions, in low light it suffers the same fate as other phones with just about average pics.Front camera is a 5mp sensor which is perfect for the selfie takers.Video recording is also very good at 1080p and 4k.

SOFTWARE

OPO runs a customized version of the Android 4.4.2 KitKat, with an interface known as CyanogenMod. OnePlus assures that the OS will get an Android L upgrade when the final code is released by Google.( with The new ban enforced upon them Oneplus are going to release their own version of a rom)

The interesting thing is that you can install CyanogenMod themes that allow you to build your own skin for your smartphone. Choosing a specific theme allows you to tweak app icons and system fonts, your wallpaper, lock screen and so on. You can also specify changes to the way your smartphone works.

CONCLUSIONS

At 22k you just can't go wrong and this phone in no way feels like a 22k phone, keep a 50k phone next to it and you will not guess this is a 22k phone. Few problems I have with this phone is one the size of the bezels, for some reason they feel a bit big for me but at this price point I can't really complain.

Second the camera could have been better in low light but then again how many are? Is it a true flagsship killer? Well certainly yes, it is competing against htc one m8, lg g3 samsung galaxy s5 iphone 6 and 6plus etc. If you compare the price well it surely does roll them over and makes you think should you be paying 40k+ for phones again?
