I have the misfortune of taking up the mobile insurance from OneAssist. These people are just a big fraud and cheaters.They will give frivolous reasons for not processing your claim and harass you so much that you will ultimately end up giving up on your claim.
In my case they have asked for invoice and a screenshot of IMEI number on the screen, which I had provided to them as soon as I had taken the policy. At the time they told everything is in order. But the real harassment starts as soon as you stake a claim. They are telling that screenshot with IMEI # is no longer valid, so they want IMEI number in the invoice to validate that its the same mobile for which I am claiming. They rejected the invoice saying it is not valid as it has wrong IMEI number in it.
In the initial couple of calls they were telling that if invoice is not given then 10% of the total cost will be charged, but suddenly they started saying that Rs 1500 or 6% whichever is higher needs to be paid(their policy changed overnight!). Anyone with common sense can calculate that in most cases Rs 1500 will be the higher amount. So their strategy is to extract as much money from you as possible in the guise of terms and conditions(which can change anytime, mind you), and you end up getting just a superficial amount from them(for which you might rue that it would have been better if you had given that extra money from your pocket instead of wasting so much of time and enduring so much harassment from them).
Its already more than 10 days and my claim has still not been processed. I just wanted to warn other unsuspecting consumers like me to be aware of this fraud company and don't waste your money in buying insurance from them. I have already gone through their torture and don't want other to go through the same.
