I gave my phone on 23rd December 2016, still waiting, in the month of February 2017, to get back my phone. Every time, the parrots at the customer care says, "we are extremely sorry, we can't help you, but the claim was rejected by the National Insurance Company". Totally fed up with the company and just waiting to get the phone back. Strongly suggest not to take any insurance for mobile, by any third party, as, all are frauds, and reject the claims on one or other reason. Be careful, read the fine print, exclusion clauses.
As an example, theft from bag or pocket or purse in public transport or markets or malls, is termed as'pick-pocketing' and not covered at all. Their meaning of'theft' means, forced entry into the house, as in'burglary', along with FIR and all the non-sense. Leaving unattended in locked car is not at all covered, even with FIR.
Similarly, accidental drop means, not from your hand while talking but, involving a road or vehicle accident kind of thing, and they need many proofs to prove the accident.
Rating as 1-star, as nothing below that is there.
