Hi There, After many reveiws and suggestions I finally ended up with this magnificent instrument by Olympus. It is a Easy-To-Use SuperZoom Camera from Olympus. The following are the specifications of the Olympus Superzoom 80G ~~~~~~~~ :: Specifications :: ~~~~~~~~ *Fully automatic autofocus zoom camera * 2x zoom lens, 38 - 80 mm / f4.5 - 8.9, incl. two aspherical lens elements *Accurate autofocus system *6 flash modes * Shutter release locks if object not within the minimum focusing distance *Quartz date model for imprinting year/month/date/time available Here, you will come with a two questions: 1. Cost 2. Why cant a digital camera in place of this. Here are the answers: 1. 3,500/- and I beleive this is the best model with extra ordinary Zoom. 2. If I prefer a digital cam with this budget I need to end up with a camera with less pixel resolution. So I will go for a digital cam when I can invest around 10,000- on a camera. My personal experiences: 1. It uses a single Lithium battery which lasts for 15 rolls. 2. I am a beginner in using the camera, Still, I am very comfortable in loading the roll into the cam with no support. And if you use the lens appropriately, you will get bright crystal clear pictures in dark night too. I bought this three months ago and used 5 rolls and the performace was good by the camera. Have not faced any issues till now and will surely let you know the updates. Rgds, BCrazy.
