This is probably one of the first spirits I ever tasted ..... the Monk and Coke (coca - cola) has stood by my family for a very long long time. so if your wondering why this is one of the drinks thats first on my list thats because its in my blood (literally). I have tasted quite a few other rums (since I only get high on rum) none other has left such a long lasting imperession on me.
I have rated the Monk 5 stars. I have given it 5 stars again for taste but only 3 stars for smoothness. Thats because the Monk is not very smooth ... then again why should it be .... RUM was not intended for the faint hearted (rum was drunk mostly by pirates). The Monk is not intended for the ladies ... then again there are some women ... and those are my kinda gals. So if your looking for a good Buzz and a blackout every once in a while ... do what I do ..... visit the Monk. I'm enjoying the effects this very moment ...... Cheers !!
