Nokia x6 comes in three versions basically 8 GB, 16 GB and 32 GB. Basic difference between all three models is of memory. I purchased nokia in Oct 2010 16 GB version. To get a better view will cover it in different aspect.
1) Design and durability:
* it’s a bar touchscreen phone with fibre body. It’s not slim but rather bulky. Quite thick. No gloss finish. A very very simple design. Plastic quality is good and doesn’t feel cheap. Since my purchase I have dropped this phone many a times and I found no scratch or no tearing. It’s durable which one of the most required aspects is.
2) Camera:
*it comes with 5 MP cam with dual LED flash(which can also be used as torch). Camera quality is good but not the best. I wish camera could have been much better.
3) Battery life:
*quite long lasting battery. I use internet and use it for calling where it exceeds 2hrs a day. It lasts really well. After a complete recharge it can run for 24hrs. With battery one should not have any complains.
4) Sound quality:
*basically it’s a music edition phone means an edition have special attention on sound quality, but I am bit disappointed. Speakers are ok and sometimes they lose their clarity at full volume. I am really disappointed with the headphone quality. They lack good sound quality esp. when its music edition. Music output on 5.1 or external speakers are really very good, no complains about it. 16 GB version also comes with unlimited music downloads with ovi music for one year. Good service.
5) Processing & productivity:
*i am satisfied with the processing speed. It’s Average, neither too fast nor too slow. In short optimum. Touchscreen is responsive, no complaints. Talking about productivity it comes with many application like quick office and pdf reader, dictionary pre-installed, if not you can install them. Many useful applications are available at ovi store. Hence, can get your work done.
6) Connectivity and navigation:*
it supports wifi, wap, GPRS, 3G, HSDPA i.e. 3G speed up to 3.5 Mbps. video calling is also supported and it’s quite good. For better surfing you can download opera browser for mobile. This can also be used as modem for surfing net on PC. GPS navigation is distinct service by ovi maps. It’s free and they mean it. It has a built in GPS receiver thus can connect to satellite directly. Because of this you don't incur data charges; works even without mobile coverage and locationing is more accurate.
7) Value for money: *
important question. Is it or is it not? In my view YES it is. It is ranged between 10000 to 14000rs. Features, durability, battery life, processing, camera, sound and productivity all together make it worth every penny. Till now I have no complains. It’s a very good budget smartphone.
I personally recommend it.
