The first time, I saw the pictures displayed in my brothers phone, I liked the colors and the crisp display. So I started using it from time to time to see how it works.

Today, I would prefer something better. Just a few pointers from me should tell you, why I think so.

At a price that has come down less than expected from over Rs 9000, if I remember correctly: [That seems approximately the price at which my brother got that phone a few years back.]: It is available for around Rs. 6, 500. This Nokia phone Model Lumia 520 should have been priced much less by now.

The dimensions of 119.9 x 64 x 9.9 mm, 75.7 cc( 4.72 x 2.52 x 0.39 in) and Weight 124 g makes it easy to handle. I would still say it needs design improvements going by standards I expect from a top notch multinational company.

The supported network Types are limited to

2G Network GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900

3G Network HSDPA 900 / 2100.

This is a problem in some areas for international travelers and people who reach remote areas where there could be some frequencies out of the ones not supported.

It is available in following Colors Yellow, red, cyan, white/black.But if I need a customized design I need to depend on random shops and online or offline sellers who may sell colorful design covers and body panels.

The Display type is a mere 480 x 800 pixels, 4.0 inches(~233 ppi pixel density) Display size. It has IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen, that shows16M colors

If I talk about the Camera: it has a Primary camera of 5 MP, 2592x1936 pixels, has autofocus but no Secondary camera

OS has got upgraded to Microsoft Windows Phone 8 but do I still want to use such a phone when we are talking about the continuum feature which allows me to dock a windows phone and use it as a laptop with any compatible lcd/display.

GPRS Up to 85.6 kbps, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, dual bandUSB are all normal features nowadays and does not make the phone any special.     Yes, there is a microUSB v2.0 but we are talking about fast charging usb-c nowadays.

EDGE allows faster internet Up to 236.8 kbps, but we are in the age of 4G and; 5G should be there very soon.

GPS too works, if you get signal. That will work outdoors.

Yes, with A-GPS support and GLONAS, it is good enough.

Video camera? Yes, 720p@30fps isn't that impressive but ok for such a price range.

Memory:

Internal memory is 8 GB, but had a mere 512 MB RAM

Card slot microSD supports up to 64 GB and is good enough.

Messaging SMS, MMS, Email, IM, all work just fine.

Alert type had different modes likeVibration; it also supports MP3, WAV ringtones.

There is no radio to listen to. At least the radio app was not there. Hope someone can Correct me if I missed it.

Speaker phone? Yes, it works although it is no use when city traffic around you is causing loud noises.

Although I liked the way the phone worked for so many popular games, overall, I prefer to use something better. That is why I no longer use this phone although I tried to use it for a few weeks.
