Honest Review on Nokia E63. Review on Nokia E63

After reading lot of reviews on Nokia E63, I finally decided to buy this product and try myself. I tried each feature of E63 and would like to share my experience with this product with you all. Prior to this mobile I was using Nokia N72 which is a N series mobile from Nokia and there are few differences between N series and E series.

My perception about E series was that ki these mobiles are only for business people or top level executives or some sales personnels. But after using this mobile my myth came wrong. Nokia E63 is combination of business and multimedia features.

I will divide my experience by the mobile's features:

1. Aesthetic:Though the mobile looks bulky but after using it for few days I no more feel it as bulky. It looks great in hand. The look is very professional one. The total weight of this mobile is around 120 grams.

2. Usability:I should honestly say that I felt very discomfort while using QWERTY keyboard. The buttons are very small and you may struggle to find the buttons or its common to type wrong buttons.There are no separate volume buttons to control the volume. Buttons are very small but they are dome shaped which makes somewhat easy to press them. Rubber buttons feel smooth to press.

3. CAMERA:This mobile comes with 2MP camera which is good enough to capture the pictures. But you may not get that clarity. There is in built flash beside the camera which makes pictures clear. You can zoom while taking pictures. Video shoot is also nice.As this is E series mobile phone 2MP is good enough.

3. Audio/Video: This comes with in built Real Player and Flash Player. Clarity of videos is excellent. Sound is excellent. You can view the video in full screen mode. But the disadvantage is that if you have to make it full screen then you have to stop the clip and replay it!

The audio output: there is 3.5mm output port for audio output which is excellent. You can use any speakers to play your favorite music from this mobile

Radio: I tried to play my favorite radio channels and the radio player is excellent. But I don't find a feature to record the radio music or to keep radio as alarm.

You can play any audio/video format available.

4. Connectivity:

I really love the connectivity features of this mobile. Within few second it identifies the WiFi network around you. I use my office WiFi network to browse and download. The connection is very fast. Other modes of connectivity are : Bluetooth and USB.

1. Internet:

I love to browse on this mobile. This is no less than you computer. It loads all contents including flash. Websites are loaded full page and its easy to navigate back and forth from one page to another. I have installed opera mini too. If I am not on WiFi I use the normal in built browser and if I am on GPRS I use the Opera Mini as it loads the pages with less memory which reduces my GPRS charges.

6. Email: I have configured my gmail, yahoomail and office outlook accounts on this mobile. I am not connected to my email accounts whenver I want. It loads only the email headers which consumes less memory and if you want to read any email then you can retrive it from the server with WiFi or GPRS.

You can view and save the attachment. You may attach and send word and pdf files. I love htese features. You may also delete, filter, sort your emails.

7. Battery:For me its coming more than 2 days even though I am using it for browsing and long duration calls.

8. Memory:This mobile comes with phone memory of 120MB and 1GB micro SD card. You can extend the external memory upto 8GB.

9. Software: As this is Symbian OS 9.2, Series 60. You can install any third party applications which work with this OS. There are lot of applications available for Symbion OS. This is another reason why I chose this mobile. I did not find any major issues with the software so far. The issue I found is with the browser which goes white while loading the secured pages. It loads the pages but until then the screen will be white and I got scared. You can zip or unzip the files or read or print the documents.

10. Price vs features:

I paid 11300Rs for this mobile and I think this is best buy for the features it comes with. Now my mobile is 3g and WiFi enabled so I am up to date.
