I have been an ardent Sony ericcson fan, but, my last phone, the p1i, disappointed my faith in Sony. After spending around 18000 bucks, the phone did not last even 6 months. The touch screen was gone forever, panel broken(normal usage) and no replacement parts available. But about that later, because that's when i decided to give Nokia a try and that too, decided that i will not incur more than 10-12 k for a business phone. And no to - touch screen.
I am glad that i chose the e63, which i have been using for the past 8 month now.
Very easy to use and pretty reliable too. All one needs is a good gprs connection. It has hardly hung up even once or given any software issues so far. Accessing internet is very easy with this phone and so is the speed with which one can navigate while using the web as well switching between different applications.
One can download a host of useful applications which make your phone truly a multi-purpose gadget.. From Nokia ovi store(link already provided in phone). Sound quality on music player and camera picture quality is also good but not excellent(unlike a Sony ericcson). There is a 3d sound option which makes the normal Nokia ringtone sound and feel cool.
Sending sms can also be pretty quick and easy, thanks to the qwerty keypads. Only thing i disliked about this phone is the colour of panel(cover). One only has 3 options such as red, blue and black. While black would have been an obvious choice for me it is not available in most showrooms and hence i had to settle for less liked red. Would have preferred a metallic silver, black combination. For those who want - call clarity, internet browsing, easy of navigation, quick and easy sms, (can send more numbers without aching fingers), large screen - this is the product to buy
For less than 11k, Nokia E63 is definitely a very good buy. I recommend - go for it.
