When I purchased this phone it was priced for 14400 <with warranty of course, in the grey market it was priced at around 12000 then>. That time it was a wee bit too expensive for the features it offered. But I guess u can now buy an original piece for around eight and half grands which is quite a cool price for an 8250, worth all its money.

I was actually gonna buy the samsung slim, but since it was a bit too old by the time I went in tha market to buy a cell I decided to go for some other one. Everybody told me to buy a nokia phone. So there this really looked like the best option in my budget then. Of course there was the 8210 which was similar to the 8250 in terms of size and shape, apart from the blue lights, with more attractive colours and cheaper, however 8250 looked a bit classy.

It uses a lithium battery which is very good. It gives a standby time of approximately 4 days. I normally finish my whole battery in one day but not before I talk for about 3 hours. It also offers other features like infrared, conferencing and sms chat.

The phone has one missing feature. I normally use my phone for making and receiving calls. If you are the type who is very much involved with sending tunes then this certainly aint the phone for you. You cannot send tunes with this phone which can be a major drawback to some of you guys. This however turns out to be a boon if your a kanjoos like me and dont want people askin u to keep sending you tunes. So heres ur chance to be at the receiving end for once.

However with newer Nokia phones emerging very quickly with more and more features I believe the 8250 should be missed. The 8310 is just 5 grams heavier than the 8250 and also has WAP capabilities, fm radio and GPRS. The 8310 also has lots more memory and is generally an all round better choice. So if you want to purchase an 8250 and if u can afford a bit more, I would suggest u go for an 8310.
