This review is a bit different from the normal reviews written for cell phones.

Have tried to keep this simple and in layman terms so that even a person who is not actually conversant with mobile operations can comprehend it.

Am actually not indulging in the details regarding the phone compatibility, weight, dimensions etc as all these aspects have already been touched upon by other Msians.

Looks

Well, to start with, the Nokia 7250i is a plain Jane. But then at this price range you get a 6610i and 3200.

Of these two models I would vote for the 6610i on looks followed by the 7250i.

The 3200 is a pretty sad looking model.

Features.

The strong point in any Nokia mobile phone is its easy to use user-friendly features.

The 7250i is no different.

The phone is loaded with features.

-To start with the phone memory of 3.5 MB is adequate at the price you pay.

-The FM radio sure is a boon and Mumbaikars would agree with me that the city with 6 FM stations donot disappoint. The radio clarity is very good.

-The integrated digital camera will not win any prizes for the clarity but then this is a

Mobile first and a camera is just an additional attraction.

-The loud speaker is okay.

-Thoughtful features like the stopwatch, conversion chart and the facility to download games and ring tones from the net are useful.

-The GPRS connection is very good and at times is lightening quick.

-The infra red is effective.

-The colour screen supports just 4096 colours. A 65000 colour would have been

better appreciated.

Drawbacks.

To be frank the phone does not have many drawbacks.

-The colour screen should have been a 65K instead of the 4096 colours.

-The phone tends to hang once the GPRS connection cannot be established.

However this happened just once with me. Can’t really vouch for this fact though.

-Many may feel that the phone design is not really attractive. My previous 8250 was

a sleeker looking model. But then 7250i has loads of features to boast.

-The model, when introduced was pretty expensive. Hence it was not everyone’s

cup of tea. Now with the huge price reduction this model is very much within our

grabs.

-The 7250i doesn't have a blue tooth. This function would surely be welcome.

So friends, if you are planning to upgrade from a Black and White phone to a colour phone that has the FM and the camera and is a Nokia…Look no further than the 7250i.

This is going to give you a true value for money and be a loyal companion for as long as you want to keep it.

And the ongoing market rate (Mumbai) at any Nokia Priority Dealer is Rs 8300/- with bill and 1 year warranty.
