Nokia 6600, the phone with bundle of features of its time,
Nokia 6600 Cell Phone
Actually my friend was using this phone when we were doing Engineering in 2005, at that time phones were very expensive he bought that phone at Rs.17, 000.the starting price when the phone was released was 23, 000, some of my friends bought at that price also, but after 2 r 3 years later it was available in the market at an unbelievable price of 10, 000.
I am writing this review because of its unmatchable features at that time, there were no such mobiles of any brand with so many features, one thing interesting was nokia 6600 supports all applications which are available in net on various sites such as games, camera optimizer, zoomer, sms reader, torch(screen itself acts as a torch with more brightness by using that software), infrared remote for all televisions, VCR, DVD players & music systems the list goes on.
There were n number of video players, audio players, sound optimizer for optimization of speaker output & video output. This phone supports all kinds of java applications & my friend was using 2 GB card with this phone but the access was slow for 2GB, so better to use 1GB card for better performance.
After some years these phones were prone to many software problems , not all phones were facing this problem, the phone which came around 2007 had these problems.
There is one software by name Nokia smart movie converter, which converted any format of videos into format which supported nokia 6600. when this phone came into market there were very minmal coptators with infrared, Bluetooth, much a big screen etc etc…my friend is still usng that cell without any problem & tell you about the battery, you know don’t have words to say about nokia, my friend has not changed hs battery till now.
