I purchased this Nokia 5130 XpressMusic recently 2 weeks back @ Univercell Mobile store, Bangalore for 5500/-. Nokia 5130 its my 5th mobile.
Well I was looking for a basic mobile with good Sound output, Blue tooth, Expandable Memory and good display. Nokia 5130 got it all,
First it’s the Express Music series mobile has the Play, Previous & Next keys on the left side & volume controls on the right side.
Nokia 5130 have a Blue tooth, supports blue tooth enabled headsets.
Memory can be expandable up to 16 GB after software update as per review sites but I have tested with 2GB card it supports.
Nokia 5130 have 2" 262K color TFT display of QVGA resolution.
Nokia has given some regional touch to the mobile keypad have Kannada letters on it, its easy for typing in Kannada. Its all depends where u buy the mobile, in Karnataka if u buy u get Kannada key words, if youbuy in Chennai u get Tamil letters, in Andhra pradesh u get Telghu letters etc……
User Interface is very basic with very little functionality Nokia 5130 comes with S40user interface, Its very user friendly.
Nokia 5130 have very good sound output, speakers are at the back, Quality of sound is good and loud, Stereo widening option is present. One disadvantage is that while listening to music we need to keep the mobile reverse.
Nokia 5130 comes with 2 mega pixel camera with image resolution of up to 1600 x 1200 pixels. There's no flash or auto focus function present, Quality of image is quite good in the day light and also video recording we can record Max of 176X144 Video resolution its only suitable for MMS.
Nokia 5130 XpressMusic comes in 3 different colors, Red, Blue and Black, well I wanted to buy the black but they said it was only limited edition not available in India, so I was left with red and blue options I preferred to go for Red as it was bit dashing ….:)
Build quality of Nokia 5130 good, its full plastic front and the back . Body have glossy finish so prone of finger marks.
Battery life is also good, I usually charge it 2 days once after 4 to 6 hrs of music play and 4 to 5 hrs of talk time.
Some of the features & Application which I found very handy Timed Profiles, Timed auto keypad lock, Music light effects on the left panel, World clock, Ovi Contacts, Rally 3D game, Nokia 5130 comes with Opera Mini browser internet can be accessed via GPRS connection quite fast &FM radio with RDS, Supports animated themes.
Micro SD card slot present on the right side so no need to open the back panel to insert card.
Themes & wall papers present in the mobile are not so good … u can freely download from this 2 sites .

Along with Box we will getting 1GB memory card preloaded with 60 hit songs(Kannada and Hindi songs), Micro USB Data cable, Well Nokia have reduced the length of the cable its only 20cm may it’s the recession effect ….:) Headset given along with pack is very low quality looks very cheap and but decent sound output . I suggest you to buy Sony walkman series headphone I am using the same …
Final Words:- If u are looking for a good decent mobile at a reasonable price then Nokia 5130 is made of each other.
