I've had the Nokia 3100 for quite some time and when I laid eyes on the Nokia 3200, I realized that the Nokia 3100 was obsolete.
As usual, I had it brought over by a friend from Dubai, since it's relatively cheaper (Dhs. 1120, which roughly converted equals Rs. 14500) there.
The phone is slightly larger than the 3100, weighs 87 grams (including the battery), has a 4096 color display and a resolution of 128 x 128 pixels. Nokia has changed the key layout for this one, with only nine oval shaped keys; the ends of the oval being a separate key in itself.
It's quite like the 3100 in every aspect - tri-band, supports GPRS, and is polyphonic. It has around 1.2 MB of memory that is as usual, shared between your games, images, ring tones and applications.
What attractd me more to this phone was it's features - a camera, infra-red and a radio. It's a virtual combination of the Nokia 8310 and the Nokia 3100, spruced up with some clean looks and neat finish. You can even change the font size on the phone.
Another pretty interesting feature of the Nokia 3200 is that you can have any cover on it; no, I don't mean any Nokia cover, what I mean to say is that you can have cut out overs and fit them into the cell casing. This allows you to have bright and shiny covers, meaning you don't have to spend any extra dough on looks.
The phone uses a POP3 port for data transfer and you can use the same data cable you use for the Nokia 3200, 6100, 6610, 7210 and the 6230.
It uses the conventionally heavier white BL-D3 battery. The set comes along with a headset, since it has a radio.
It's a larger phone than the 3100, but I now prefer it what with all those extra features loaded - it's well worth it's price.
