I did not intend to write a full fledged review on Nokia latest model still due on release, Nokia 2300 but then I couldn’t resist posting the product on M.S although I do not consider this review to be complete.
Recently I came across Nokia 2300 (smuggled model, Source shall be undisclosed, M.S can sue me later.)This is Nokia's one of the trendiest phones I’ve ever seen. With options to personalize your phones looks by changing color covers with its combination of key mats you get to choose two different skins to suit your style.
I rather stick with the black interface looks that is the only saving grace which brings in some respectability in the phone. The other look is totally girlish with its pinkish blue skin meant to be used by power puff girls wannabes (loll) I don’t think many guys would opt for this and stick with black but then their always an exception.
This is Nokia's entry level phones and it is speculated to cost around 6 K + which really isn’t bad if you see its features. Nokia has answered the skeptics who whined on loss of not having features in entry level mobile phones of likes of a FM RADIO.
Just go to Menu click on Radio and then click on select pretty simple. I found the reception pretty sluggish but then operating in the basement will give signal problems. It has a dual-piece mono headset included which acts as radio antenna and I was told it works perfect, I have my doubts.
The biggest drawback this model got is it has no color display. Which is tragic with the looks it got ,it is almost a crime but Nokia people seem to cover it up by brilliant bit of color to the exterior’s stuck with a Monochrome display (96 x 65 pixel resolution) you get to do all the normal stuff. It also comes in with build in polyphonic ring tones but only a monophonic ringing tone composer.
An interesting feature new to the model is the ''SMS Junk Filter''. Iam interested in seeing exactly how that works, as I'm sure that there are a lot of people out there that are sick of the random SMS advertisements they receive. Sadly I couldn’t test this feature.

My Thoughts
I found this phone really gorgeous in its looks. Sleek and light in size with FM RADIO & options like Junk sms filter, this really is a tempting phone worthy a serious ''dekho''.
Although with its price tag a bit on a high scale I would be tempted to opt for other models with color display of the same price range.
