I am advising this from my bad experience, I have policy with MAX BUPA and submitted a reclaim request and I have been told at the time of submission that it will be taking maximum 30 days to process my request. After submitting the required documents I have received an email from some one claiming that he is a doctor who is working for MAXBUPA and asking me to provide a consent for the verification of the documents at the hospital where I treated, upon checking the MAXBUPA customer care team confirmed that there is no such person for them.
Still I am confused, if he is not MAXBUPA how did he manage to get all details of this claim?
While I took the policy one of the commitments which I got from the customer care team was that MAXBUPA will be dealing the reimbursement, directly so the process will be quick, now after 35 days of submission of the claim form they are asking to send more documents.
and to make it worse they need the hard copy of the documents, and remember this document is the discharge summary of the baby at the time of birth.
You must remember that THEY PROCESSED THIS POLICY JUST WITH A PHONE CALL, so when it comes to the time of policy taking you are happy to do that with a missed call and for claim reimbursement everything needed to be attested and certified.
I am not sure how mouthshut works or MAXBUPA will read my review, still I thought to write this down here if this would help to keep one guy away from these sort of falsely reputed companies.
