Located on LBS Marg of Mumbai, U see this good area - plenty of space and inviting what with the M of the MacDonald and the Wills Lifestyle facing you.
Having been through it a year back, this is how you can take your day out and make a good one of it. Mind u - Mumbai today has nothing real worth spending a day out, but there are ways in which You can make a Mall a new lifestyle experience, provided IT IS ALL PLANNED.You can decide whether you wanna be here for 2 hours, half a day or a good 8 hours. Your bucks can also be decided - 1500 Rs. - anywhere upto a couple of lakhs.
And this is how ones goes about it.
Get ur vehicle parked outside - ensure there is good space to get back stuff. Get off at McDonalds, stretch ur legs, let the kids around. Order for something lights, a tea and your list. Work out your credit card points and your budget.
Give ur kids some money and push them around the center area where there is a ring of snack joints, let them know where u are.
Work out your choices for the day: Big time or discount shopping
1. Wills Lifestyle: Formals and sportswear at the top end, various other accessories,
ProLine Sportswear and plenty of similar upmarket dressing joints
2. Back side at the other end - a Big Bazaar kinda outing for discount shopping
First Floor: Furnitures - kitchenware - beds etc. for setting up house, a great restaurant for lunch all laid out in a nice huge hall where each set has its own environment and ambience where u can lounge about, try it out and work out the budgets with co-operative sales persons. Good stuff - can consider a spend of 2000 - 2 lakhs depending on how much u want to invest in say a 500 - 1500 sq foot home. There are some other such places offering competitive offerings in the vicinity as well.
Perfumes - Hugo / various branded items, range Rs. 3000 plus, scents - after shaves, cooperative but aggressive sales guys, but they know their stuff, bottles and packaging, displays and visibility is good.
Public loos available but not so great - can be worked on some more, window glass panes broken - now this is a Thumbs downer and always a true reminder - THIS IS INDIA! Should carry more stuff to give the classy appeal.
Eating Joint with glass walls so you can see OUT from IN and IN from OUT - looks very attractive(sorry not tried this out yet)
Second Floor PVR cinemas - get the movie of your choice.
I think I need to check out more as it has been some time .
