Since 1911 Delhi is the capital of India. In 1956 Delhi became the union territory of India in1956. The old name of Delhi is Indraprastham. It is situated in the shore of Yamuna river.the first Sultan of Delhi is kutabdin aibak. He is an emperor of Adima dynastry. Kutabdin Aibak started to build Kutabminar. Ilthumish finished the construction of Kutabminar. Rasiyasultana was the first empress in delhi.
Gandhi Smruthi(Birla house), Theenmurthi Bhavan, Pragathi maidan, India gate, Amar Javan jyothi, Indian parliament, Rahtrapathi bhavan etc are the main points to visit in delhi. Architect of india gate is Edwin Leutins. Nishanth Shalimar gardens in Delhi are construction of mual emperor jahangir. Jandarmandir is another attraction of Delhi. Redfort and Jumamasjid were built by shajahan.
