Neerja is a Indian Hindi-language biographical thriller film written by Saiwyn Quadras, and directed by Ram madhvani starring Sonam kapoor, Shabana azmi, Yogendra tiku andShekhar ravijiani. The film was produced by Atul Kasbekar under the banner of Fox star studios.The film revolves around the Libya backed Abu nidal organisation's hijacking of Pam Am Flight 73 in Karachi, Pakistan on 5 September 1986. The film is shown from the point of view of the flight'shead purser Neerja bhanot who thwarted the hijack attempt by preventing the plane from taking off, and saved the lives of 359 passengers and crew on board. Well yes this movie is a great tribute to her as her sacrifice saved many people. And a must watch.
