It was our next destination after Aritar during our visit to Sikkim in our North East India Tour in March 2008. We stayed at Seven Hill Resort for 2 days for enjoying the beauty of Namchi. First of all we visited the Rock Garden which is located between Namchi Town and Samdruptse.
This garden contains different species of plants, flowers and trees. We saw several waiting sheds, view points and water bodies, alongside the footpaths. Then we visited Char Dham where we found the slice of whole India here as it is situated on the top of the hill. We found Rameswaram Temple, Dwarka Dham, Jagannath Temple, Badrinath Temple, Jyotirlingas and a huge idol of Lord Shiva here.
Then we visited Buddhist Padma Sambhava which has the world's largest statue of Guru Rinpoche also known as Guru Padmasambhava(patron saint of Sikkim) which is around 120 ft in height. The statue is in the prayer hall. We felt very calm after visiting these areas.
