We had a visit to nainital about 5 years ago and I must say its an amazing place.we went there from delhi.the nearest railway station from nainital is kathgodam.nainital is around 35km from there.we went there by taxi.its situated in the kumaon region of uttarakhand.nainital is named after the naini lake.we did boating in the lake.the view of the surrounding hills and the natural beauty is breathtaking.its also famous for the the Goddess Naina devi temple which is a beautiful temple near the bank of tha naina lake.the Mukhteswar temple is also amazing.the tiffin top is the second highest peak of nainital which is awesome.one can go there by horses or also by walking.the natural scenic beauty surrounding the hill station is really wonderful.

With the nine lakes like talli tal bhim tal saat tal sukhaa tal and others of various shapes and sizes, and the hills all around, Nainital is really a place where one should spend at least one entire week. There are seven local sight seeings which the cab drivers of the locality show to any tourists who are interested. The hotels are both on the main road and at a height. There is a bhutani market there where things are available at a cheaper price than they are in any metropolitan city. The food there is delicious with hot chocolate stalls ay every second step. The place is also known for its scenic beauty and the availability of wollen garments.

Its a very beautiful place to spend quality time with your loved ones.I had visited Nainitaal in the month of Feb.the whether was awesome.it was pleasantly cold whole day.We had stayed in a hotel just in front of beautiful naina lake.The lake looks covered with fog looks soo beautiful in the morning time.There are couple of places to visit nearby.from 2.5 up the hill you can see Himalayan peaks.the view is amazing.make sure you visit early morning to have a perfect look of this view.I had visited sat taal where they take you to different lakes around nainitaal.you must visit them all.You can also try paragliding.I would advice go for the one which is organized by the Uttarakhand government and not the private one.They take the video recording and photoshoot of your entire flight.flying over nainitaal mountains and seeing the greenery is a lifetime experience.You can visit Jim Corbett natitional park which is around 70 km from nainitaal.its really an adventurous experince.Naina Devi temple is very beautiful.In the evening time you can visit the marketplace.you get nice winter clothes over there. You will have to spend around 2-3 days to cover all the places in and around Nainitaal.overall visiting nainitaal was a wonderful experience.
