It was a cool-breeze hitting eve in Bangalore city, when I met my brother after a while. We had got a lot of things to talk about. One subject we always kept talking was Dasan and Vijayan. This duo characters flashes in every day of a malayali, if he or she love to watch the films. If we all want to have a long life laughter is best medicine I heard. To Laugh with sensitive and genuine joke, bag Nadodikattu and watch it. A complete package of entertainment. Writer has smoothly enlightened and criticised unemployment of god's own country through very sparkling words. Director Satyan Anthikadu Bombed this movie in 80s, in fact I should say , violated all the rules of comedy in that time by presenting a never seen form of entertainment. Even now people are asking director satyan to produce another dasan, vijayan, gafoorka,Ananthan nambiar, balettan and pavanayi. Negative characters had a different out look in those period, where in Nadodikattu, Ananthan nambiar's (villain) smashing term ESCAPE had been used all across kerala as a fun maker slang. That's how blinked all audience's eyes by seeing satyan's Nadodikkattu. Even though these all characters had a comic shade, all the characters represented some common issues in the 80s very vigilantly.Like dasan and vijayan had gone through a very difficult time of unemployment, where in Balettan(innocent) had represented a struggling madras malayali, where in Ananthan Nambiar , a filthy rich malayali in madras and others too. Nadodikattu, had gave an hairpin turning point for Lot of artist for their filmografy. Lal, as always dealt with his outstanding skill of handling comedy and emotional strings in a movie, same he marked in Nadodiklattu. Srinivasan's and Legendary Mamukoya's exceptional way of representing the scenes are absolutely above the mark in this Movie too. Satyan has got a faultless knack to deal these two actor's in his way. No other examples required to support this point, if you watch this movie, you can see srini's body language while he throw and crack the comic scenes on screen. The strange chemistry between satyan and these cast had been magnificently worked out in Nadodikattu. Gafoor ka dosth had been a dialect for all keralites in 87s. Why in 87s, Now in 2006 too. Not even single malayalam channel, never take a risk to telecast any other movie against Nadodikattu till date. That's how Nadodikattu captivated all keralite's heart. When we talk about the script of this film, Flow of story and the manner of aligning incidents is unusual than any other movies. This Movie had conquered a seat among other classics of malayalm movie in 87s just by applying the eccentric formula of movie making. Satyan's art of film making and convincing his audience is as brilliant as Newtonian way of science. Only one Newton and Gandhi has born till date similarly only one Nadodikkattu had born till date. We all malayalies can raise our head in front of any other film societies with the support of Nadodikkattu... we all can wait for another turn of this mix of cast and another birth of this sequel from the beloved film maker Satyan Anthikad. He may pick the pen for rebirth of Nadodikkattu .
