~~~Just Shake Up~~~. Review on Nach Baliye 2

Concept:

Nach Baliye is Back with a Bang as Nach Baliye 2.The concept of this dance show is very innovative.This show portrays celebrity couples as dancing partners and shows their hidden dancing talents…They all have been provided with choreographers to teach them the steps but its really up to the dancers to take it to the top…

There are three famous Judges like Mallaika Arora Khan, Saroj Khan and Kunal Kohli(in the prequel it was Farhan Akhtar) who with their sarcastic comments motivate or de-motivate the Celebrity dancers …Every week one couple is thrown out of the show though they always leave their footmarks behind. This elimination is done on the combined basis of points given by the Judges and votes given by the audience…

But this year there is an alteration to this elimination process: The two cast out couples who would be left out of the Suraksha Chakra (Safe Circle) will have their fates this year in the hands of their fellow dancing couples.The couples inside the circle would select one among the two unsafe couple.This created a lot of disagreements among the safe couples in the second episode of the show because the safe couples said that they couldn’t get themselves to vote against anyone of their fellow pairs but at last the voting took place and ended in another tie where the judges had to be called in to decide which pair would go out!

The Participants this year:

Jodi no. 1: Narayani and Gaurav– Quite a good dancing couple with good expressions who seem to be rising with the rhythms…

Jodi no. 2: Yash and Gauri– Not quite an impressive Dancing Pair, they concentrate mainly on making their dance funny but fun is not always called dance…

Jodi no. 3: Sweta and Manav– They are improving dancers…Sweta has been called graceless by the judges after their first performance and it was also said and noticed that she danced like a man not like a lady but in the second episode she has been called Vaijayanti Mala by Saroj Khan!

Jodi no. 4: Sweta and Raja– Sweta a good dancer and Raja working hard to catch up to her…they will certainly go far in this show…

Jodi no. 5: Ketki and Rasik– They are not good dancers but hard workers…its sad they were eliminated from Nach Baliye 2…but the show must go on!

Jodi no. 6: Gurdeep and Arjun– An average dancing couple trying to improve their skills…

Jodi no. 7: Gauri and Hiten– I would say they are the worst dancers but the most happening couple and actors on the television screen,so the audience will keep saving them…

Jodi no. 8: Tina and Hussain– Both are good dancers but their energy levels while dancing never match…Hussain gets a little too excited while Tina remains calm…

Jodi no. 9: Keerti and Sharad: They have been called the cutest couple and are fighting hard to stay in the show!

Jodi no.10: Tanaaz and Bhaktyar– the best dancing couple erupting with energy…but this over-energy is hampering their scores…

The Judges:

Mallaika: In her trendy dresses she just sits and says whether she has or she hasn’t enjoyed the performance!Her scores are generally always more than the scores given by the two other judges…

Kunal: I would say he is a perfect judge.Rather than blaming the choreographers or the dancers he just points out the mistakes and is always fair with the scores…

Saroj Khan: Everyone waits eagerly for some notes and a “citi” from her…She always closely scrutinizes the choreographers and her scores sometimes does seem unfair!

MY VIEWS

Through this show we get to know our Favourite stars a little better and we also get to get a peep at their off screen personalities…I think people getting to know people in a better way is the best thing about this show..…the choreographers get a good platform to show their skills…and even the celebrities get a little more publicity through this show…Besides all this it’s a great entertainer.It simply rocks!!! So it’s a must-watch at least for once!
