Kochi is my town-in-law. Naadan was the choice for last weekend's eat-out with my in-laws.
Too good! On a Saturday evening I enjoyed one of the best restaurant ambiences in my life. So quiet, so clean, so friendly and so so.
The menu lists everything in chaste Malayalam written in English. So starters read as Aarambam! And descriptions in English supplement wherever it is needed.
The food is truly naadan. Traditional Malabar items like Pathiri stuffed with minced meat were a bit too heavy for a starter. For main course you can go for Biriyani or pathiris along with tasty dishes like Malabari Chicken Curry (recommended). Desserts include payasam (seasonal).
Quantity is more than enough. The staff is very receptive and friendly. Really good service that stands out. A good 3-course meal for two will be around Rs. 350 maximum. That means it is price wise also. Furniture is predominantly cane.
Reserving a table would be a better idea. Parking for atleast ten cars just in front. And the valet was very helpful in nudging the car in. Altogether a good experience.
