It is high time government intervenes in these sort of franchisees business in education. NIIT as an organization may be good at its business but not the franchisees. Most of the franchisees does not have qualified trainers and they do not follow standard practices in training. Franchisee is only interested in taking the full fee upfront and ignore the plight of students.
They even discourage students to take online NIIT test and advice on taking institutes 'program participation certificate'. This way they even avoid paying NIIT their due charges in full. Deccan Gymkhana branch of NIIT is one of such cheat institute in Pune. My daughter suffered heavily in money and time by joining for their DB Administrator program. Irregular classes due to absence of the trainer and frequent changes of trainers are major causes of failures. Most of the students are novices and does not understand what is right and wrong when the unqualified trainer teaches them. If you know the basics you will find major flaws in the teachings of such trainers.
