Before I purchased for the first time from Myntra.com, I saw their products and fell in love with their La-Emotio kurti. I had it delivered on the day and at the time of my choice, since I had to go out on the weekend after I had ordered it. Myntra also made arrangements personally and very eagerly to have it delivered on the day of my choice. I tried the dress after waiting for a day or two and if the dress size mentioned on their site was correct, the dress should have fitted me, but when it came to me it was not fitting me. The product was delivered to me well before the delivery time mentioned on the site (Order ID 3625739 ), probably since it was a Cash On Delivery order (Rs. 815). So, I made an appeal and returned the product after emailing them the photos of the product to prove that the product was intact just the way it was sent to me, as per their requirements, so that I could get a refund faster. The return pick-up was thankfully prompt and the refund was also made to me fast, again probably due to the fact that it was going to my Myntra account and not to my mother's credit card account.

Of course, the courier person told me that I could call him up and asked whether I knew his number, in case I have any problems. When the Myntra credits landed in my account, I was happy that their service is so prompt and placed another order for a pair of earrings and a dress of a much larger size than the previously ordered dress that I am sure would fit me (Order ID 3686706 ). I paid for with the Myntra credits and put in some more money with my mother's credit card (of a total of Rs. 969, I made a card payment of Rs. 154).

Now, the product delivery is not as prompt as it was earlier, since they probably do not have to collect any cash from me and since it has already been collected through my Myntra credits and my mother's credit card payment. When I called up their logistics department in Mumbai today, the courier person immediately handed the phone to someone else, who assured me that the delivery from their Andheri centre would definitely be done today, whereas when I emailed Myntra, they are saying that they are not certain of when the items would be delivered, but it will surely be done by the 29th of August, 2012, which I am hoping is true. I have asked them to deliver my ordered items either today or directly on Monday, since I would be going out tomorrow. Initially, Myntra gained my trust, but now it seems they are not very keen on retaining it. After 4-5 hours, I tried calling the courier person again, to which he responded with a lie, saying that he has not reported to office and that he is sick.

How am I to trust him when he had handed over the phone to a person in his office early in the afternoon, who confirmed that he is having 2 of my packets and will have them sent today itself? How come he got back the phone all of a sudden then, if he claims he had given it to someone else in the morning? I really fail to understand why sites like this never give importance to the existing customers that regularly buy from them, but to new customers that may or may not become their regular clients and why to those who opt for Cash On Delivery as a payment option more than those customers, who have already made a payment with the help of their extremely prompt credit cards. So, my question is whether sites like Myntra are just encouraging consumerism or whether they are really encouraging class wars indirectly? Why such a huge difference in the way one customer is treated from the others, even if we pay up a lot of money? Do sites like these realize how many hours of hard work at office could earn us customers just this much money? If sites like Myntra can treat us this way, we customers should also start prioritizing from which shop we need to buy more and which shops to not buy from at all. After this review, Myntra had the products delivered to me just a few minutes ago.

For the record, I may not take everything I said back, because it is definitely thanks to Mouthshut that my voice got heard.
