I've had my V600 now since September '04. I purchased mine through T-Mobile's pay as you go. I love it! It's small enough to fit in my pocket. It may not be as light as some other phones, but at just over 4 ounces, it's not as heavy as some of my earlier phones. I've stayed with Motorola through the years as I've always loved the quality. But my first introduction to the phone was during the 2004 Oscars as it was the phone as part of the Oscar goodie basket given out. I said then that I had to have it and promptly went on line to Motorola to sign up for an email alert as to when it would be released. The chrome look of it is beautiful and expensive looking. I bought a case for it but haven't had to use it as the chrome has hardly any scratches after being thrown in my purses and bags! There are other options, such as an extended battery but I've not needed it as the battery life is awesome! I can keep my phone on for approximately 5 days without recharging. Sooner if I have used it often. I also love the fact that the front of the phone has a window so that you can see who's calling, when you receive a text or voicemail message without opening the phone. You can also select the type of ringtone you want from the side too; just whether you want it loud, silent, vibrate, vibrate then ring. To select a specific melody ringtone you have to go into the Settings function. The ringtones are wonderful and rich sounding. Now that T-Mobile offers actual voice clips and short mp3 ringtones of actual recorded songs, it makes my phone that much more entertaining! The cost is 1.99 per ringtone for mp3-style and voice, and 1.49 for polyphonic ringtones. The same for wallpapers. All are updated regularly. The inside screen is bright and vibrant and has a 7-line visual. You can modify what the screen shows by going into settings. Everything is modifiable on the main screen. You can show as little or as much as want! You can also modify the key functions too! I love the 1000-entry phonebook. A previous reviewer stated that you can only input one number per name, but that's not true. I have several entries under one name--main number (work), home, cell, email--and you don't have to exit the enter screen to input each one. You can stay in the entry and continue to input. When you are finished, you will see all the entries separately listed but with the same name. The camera takes decent photos too!
