Guys. I purchased a 43 inches TV from Motorola last year and when we were relocating our house, the porter people damaged the TV while shifting it, however they came forward to pay for the repair expenses which I really appreciated, unlike others who simply play blame game and leave. Keeping that aside, the Porter people asked for the quotation to get the TV repair expenses released from their company. So, I have reached the Motorola customer support team and explained them everything happened and asked for the quotation, they informed. first a Technician would reach my location to check the damage details and then they can be able to give me a quote. Agreed and appointed a technician as per the availability they informed, but the technician never turned up! When I reached them back, they informed that the service part will be taken care by a third party company and they are the one who will help me out. Asked for the third party service center number, reached them on call and the person asked me to send the images via WhatsApp, so that he can check and help me with the estimate of the repair charges. Took few photo's and sent him, he asked me to wait till evening so that he can check the price of the panel and let me know. Received a call from him and he said that the price for repaid is going to be around 29000/- I was surprised and informed him that I brought the new TV for 30K, he said that is the price and if you want I will come and repair. I silently agreed and asked him to share the quotation so that I can send it to the Porter people. He simply rejects my quotation request saying, there will be no quotation and all, once the repaid is done you will get Bill. I was surprised again! I asked him, why he can't provide a quotation and he says, you can reach the customer care who can share the quotation and I can't. I reached the customer care again, they say that they have no option to share the quotation for the repair. I was really annoyed and can't able to do anything as the Porter people need proper quotation so that they can help me with the TV repair charges. Neither Motorola is helping me with the quotation even after requesting multiple times nor the Porter team is ready to reimburse the TV charges after the repaid is done with a proper bill. I was in middle, unable to do anything. Reached customer support for one last time with voice recording ON. Asked them to share the repaid quotation, they said they have no option, asked the price of the panel and the cost for repaid, they informed it would be around 13000 for the panel and the Technician visit charges are 650. I said okay, reached the third party service center again and asked them to repair for the quote Motorola customer service informed. They told, they will check with Motorola regards this and repair my TV on same charges informed by customer support. I was okay and was waiting for the update. No one called me back and I reached the third party service center again on call asking what's the update on the repair cost and when can it be done. They told, they didn't receive any email response yet upon the request. Reached the Motorola service center again, they say they can't provide quotation which I already know but this time they told that the price of TV panel is 27900 and the Technician charges are separate. I was more than frustrated! I asked. few days back when I reach you guys on call, two representatives informed me the price of TV panel is around 13k, how come now it is around 27k? They were silent, I was left with no words consciously getting fooled by a company. Thought to myself, should go to consumer court and file a case but again it is waste of money and time. So, left it making my mind that I should never buy any Motorola products! I will share this to each one of my friend and also write reviews like these when ever possible so that it can help you take a informed decision.
