It's been around 5 years I read this book. I purchased it as my dad suggested this.The story is written in kannada, a little north Karnataka style kannada.
I love the way Dr. Shivram karanth writes.It takes around 3-5 to complete the whole book, of you spend around 3 good in a day to read.The story is very good and had been written very well.
You can actually picturize the places and all the stuff that goes on in the story.The story keeps you stuck to the book, that is the most important parameter to check if the book is interesting, no doubt he received jnanapeeta award for this.
It also teaches values in life and tells you emotions play an important part of life.Chomana dudi was the first book I read, of Shivram karanth, and that book made me go for this and after this, I read his'Bettada jeeva' and Sarasammana samadhi'. I have loved each one of them, Chomana dudi bring my favorite of all.
I surely recommend this book
