Is the Indian Military a pushover? I for one think they are. Yup, you heard me right; I just called the Indian Military a pushover! Before hurling all those curses of traitor, liar, etc etc etc.. I want to let you know why I think that the military is a pushover.
1) The recent attack on India’s symbol of democracy nay the World symbol of democracy left everyone shocked. The Lashkar along with many other terrorist organizations have been proved to have taken part in this attack. So what does India do? Just shut up like lame ducks and ask USA to ban Lashkar. Pathetic! Why don’t they use the ‘hot pursuit’ option and destroy all the terrorist camps across the border. What are they afraid of? USA? Pakistan ?!!!
2) A year back, a tiny country like Bangladesh tortured 16 from the Border Security Force to death! Now that should get every patriotic Indian’s blood boiling! And what does India do? Again, stay dumb as if nothing had happened at all. What next, Nepal and Bhutan attacking India! What is the use of having latest missiles and nukes if we can’t even defend ourselves from Bangladesh.
3) Leave the above two, tens of thousands of Kashmiri Civilians have been killed in Kashmir and India does nothing for them. Believe it or not, a terrorist group actually imposed an order in India occupied Kashmir that girls should wear only burqas (a traditional Islam dress covering the entire body)! This, when we are supposed to have the world’s fourth largest army!
These are only some of the instances in the recent time to show that the Military pushover. Our soldiers have joined the army to protect our motherland – India! They have not joined to just sit and shine their shoes or maintain peace in other countries (IPKF in Sri Lanka, UN Peace keeping forces). Use the military to defend our glorious country or we might just have pre-1947(year of Indian Independence) revisited! I want to repeat a line I used in one of my other reviews –
Tolerance beyond a certain point is cowardice
