Yep, I meant Windows Internet Explorer 7 Beta3 & not Microsoft IE7 Beta3 coz Microsoft changed the IE name from Microsoft IE to Windows IE.

P.S.:- I tried uploading the pictures of the Interface of IE7 Beta3, but in Vain, it gave ASP.Net error. Seemed like there is some problem in writing the image file into the MS Database(in the technical aspect).

& now the Revioew :-

One first thing we need to observe here is that IE7 Beta3 is available for download only for the Consumers/End-Users who are using the Genuine Windows S/w.

There are some good new features been added to IE after a long long long time (in fact after many other browsers on this planet added these features long long long time ago...E.g., being Mozilla Firefox) (There is a byword that "If U cant beat 'em then join (or) copy 'em", so, might be MSFT copied these features from other browsers)

Before gonna hav a look @ the features, here are the Minimum requirements for installing IE7 Beta3 :-

1) We need to Uninstall any previous versions of IE7 Betas.

2) At leat 250 Mhz Processor (Pentium recommended).

3) 64 MB RAM.

4) Only Windows XP Service Pack 2 (SP2), Windows XP Professional x64 Edition, Windows Server 2003 Service Pack 1 (SP1) Operating Systems supported.

5) Display should be Super VGA (800 x 600) or higher-resolution monitor with 256 colors.

Oh BTW, the file size of IE7 Beta3 is 12.5 MB & can be download as a Single EXE unlike the previous versions of IE where we need to download an initial compact EXE & from there, we need to download the full IE which is Time-Consuming.

& now the features :-

1) Tabbed Browsing & Tab Groups

Instead of opening many IE windows for different websites, we can open the different sites in different Tabs(as shown in the attached picture) allowing us to browse the Internet under one ROOF of IE window.

Tabs can be grouped and saved into logical categories. A Tab Group(a group of wbsites) can easily be set as the Home Page Group so the entire Tab Group opens every time Internet Explorer is launched.

2) Favorites

New feature here being Tab Group i.e., there would be link called "Add Tab Group to Favorites".

3) RSS Feeds

News agencies(websites) and other dynamic sites now offer a service called RSS Feeds. With RSS Feeds the website can feed or download information such as top

headlines, current travel discounts, sports scores, and other timely content throughout the day to subscribers. IE7 Beta3 Automatically detects RSS feeds on sites by illuminating an icon on the toolbar (as shown in the attached picture). A single click on the icon allows you to preview and optionally subscribe to the site's RSS feed, and then be automatically notified as content is updated. Read RSS feeds directly in the browser, scan for important stories, and filter your view with search terms or site-specific categories. So, Look for the feed discovery button on your favorite websites and subscribe to those feeds.

4) Security

There is one more new feature in IE. It is Automatic Phishing Filter. phishing sites are those sites that look legitimate but actually are designed to capture the personal information of the user. IE 7 Beta3 helps keep your information safe by alerting you to potential phishing sites that users are visiting by stopping them by displaying a Security Icon (This is often annoying, but we can disable this). At a glance you'll see whether the site you're visiting has a valid secure sockets layer ( SSL) certificate or if there are irregularities in the certificate information. Phishing Filterâ„¢ warns you of suspicious sites that might attempt to collect your personal information.

5) Search Bar

Just like Mizlla Firefox, IE7 povides mutiple Search Providers. Just type your search terms in the search bar and press Alt+Enter — Internet Explorer 7 displays your results in a new tab so you don't lose the site you're currently viewing. Do not use/click enter. We can also keep one search engine as the default one & select another search provider to compare the results b/w the two(as shown in the picture).

6) Page Zoom

We can enlarge individual webpages, including both text and graphics, to either focus on specific content or to make content more accessible to those with vision limitations.

7) Advanced Printing

Automatically scales a printed webpage so that it's not wider than the paper it will be printed on. This is called "Shrink-to-fit" feature. IE 7 also includes a multi-page print preview with live margins, resizing text to avoid document clipping, and an option to print only selected text.

But, somethings I dint like abt IE7 Beta3 are :-

1) The Favorites Menu is not Scrolling type, it is a Window/Dialog type, so bit annoying.

2) There is no seperator between the Toolbars.

3) IE7 looks great only when we use Windows XP Style & not Windows Classic Style(This can be changed in the Display properties.)

4) IE7 Beta3 eats System Resources little more than the previous verion of IE6 (Of course, every S/w upgrade consumes more resources than the previous ones.)

P.S.:- 1) I always recommend Internet Explorer coz only the IE works well in all environments like Security ect...etc...

2)IE stands for Internet Explorer, MSFT stands for Microsoft, BTW stands for By The Way.
