Like other feedbacks, I also had an issue with punctuality of Meru risking travel plans. I had booked cab(Ref. No. 26316899) from Basheerbagh, Hyderabad to Secunderabad Rly Stn on 5th May 2014. Train was at 10:00pm so reporting time for cab was 8:45pm.I got SMS 8:12pm with cab details. Cab did not turned up on time. Needed to call driver multiple times and with turn by turn navigation(address mentioned in booking was very verbose but driver couldn't find it and not bothered to even call to inform/ask when he was lost.)


Finally started more than 20 mins late. Reached station in just enough time to board train.


Driver charged extra from amount shown on meter. I would have not minded extra charge if he would have came on time or for good service but this was not that case. But did not argued with him and paid as I was already late and need to board train with my toddlers.Lesson learned, when booking Meru keep sufficient buffer so if it don't turn up in time then you can take alternate transport.


I hope Meru will take all such feedback seriously and improve its punctuality. Please understand most of time people take your service to catch flight or train. Delay means missing onward journey. I understand sometime delays are out of your control please inform immediately so at least people can make alternate arrangement.


I will not write off Meru yet, I will use it once/twice more for some non critical / with buffer time and see if it improved or not.


Update: Tried Meru once again on 27 Nov 2014. This time they went ahead and got SMS with cab details but driver did not turned up. For first few calls he said he is on way and suddenly said he is not coming. Customer care was also of no help.


Bye bye Meru. I am not going to use your service ever again and will advice my friends also not to use it.
