I booked a cab from Meru for travel on the morning of 5th May from Bandlaguda to Airport in Hyderabad. Ref No. 26308169, Cab AP28VA0387. Driver MD Osman. While booking the cab, the estimate provided by the support guy was around 800 rupees(around 28 kms). When I reached airport, the total was 930+ and the total distance was 35+ kms.
I realized the driver took the longest route and immediately called the customer support to log a complaint. Initially the support rep tried to convince me that 28kms is till the entry of airport and the extra kms are till the terminal. I told him about my discussion with their representative earlier and the fact that google maps shows 28kms till the terminal from my apartment building.
I persisted on a complaint and I was promised a callback on my complaint with in 2 working days. When asked for a complaint number, he said my phone number is the complaint number and no other number is generated. After 2 days, since there was no response from Meru, I again logged a complaint from their website but still there has been no response.
After reading through the other complaints about this company and from my own personal experience, I will never use Meru and also will never suggest this to any of my friends/family.
