I have visited Mahableshwar a couple of times and tried almost all the restaurants out there. But the one that is worth recommending is Meghdoot Restaurant and Bar. It is in the market itself, and you will know once you are there, when you find out Chicken Tandoori and Kebabs being barbecued in a small open section outside the restaurant. On my recent trip to Mahableshwar for 3 days, I had my lunch and dinner all the time at Meghdoot itself. Yes, the food over here is really that awesome, that you cannot stop yourself from going there every now and then.
First of all, the place has many patrons as compared to other restaurants, which quite gives an idea about the popularity. Secondly, there are a variety of items on the menu to choose from. the non-vegetarian food is just fantastic. The chicken is fresh and juicy and soft. You will never have enough of it. The price is extremely affordable, and no service tax is applicable.
The ambience is average and noisy since there are way too many people, whether it is season or off-season time. You can enjoy your meal and also sip on some alcohol at the same time. I love to have my meals with some Breezer. The seating arrangement is simple and comfortable. The staff is quite quick and good. It is difficult to find restaurants that please tastebuds especially when one is out of town. Luckily, I found one at Mahableshwar, which makes me carefree when I think about my selective nature when it comes to food.
