When I searched through the internet I saw a news which was published in July 24, 2002. According to that one Mr. Samuel Hirsch, an advocate in US filed a case against McDonald?s, Burger King, Wendy?s and KFC Corporation. He said that he filed this case because these companies did not disclose in their advertisement about the danger behind the fast food addiction.
Another journalist Mr. Eric Schlosser from US wrote one chapter ''The Dark Side of the All-American Meal'', in his book ''Fast Food Nation'' that through the fast food outlets about 2 lakhs people were sickened because of food borne pathogens.
When I went through these two news I was shocked and as a research student I searched for the health problems because of these fast food outlets. Now I was so much surprised that so many articles are already published in many magazines about the dark side of fast food habit!
I am just sharing those shocking realities with you.
In Barbecuing heating takes place above 200 degree centigrade, even in micro wave oven this ths temperature can be achieved! cooking at high temperature leads to the production of heterocyclic amines. An example for this is acrylamide, which is a cancer causing agent!!
A study by Dr. Ann Kelley, professor of neuroscience at Wisconsin University, showed that a high-fat diet alter the brain biochemistry, similar way to morphine!!
In US and europe; of course now in India; teenage peoples are troubling with obesity because of high calorie food intake from fast food outl.
In Journal of Nutritional Biochemistry, January 2003, according to Researchers at Purdue University, the fast food will leads to future health problems in children!!
These are only the tip of the iceburg??? so I am wondering why we are going for these fast food culture?
So be practical, we saw the danger behind the cokes and now we have to realize the danger behind these fast food.
