I wish I could show you the before and after pics of kids around this area, their bodies have turned around in a massive way .
I see the kids spending more and more time inside the place, they pool money, come in groups and sit here for hours .
I am sick and tired of saying the same stuff about how this place sells toxic sludge, how this is not the development we look for .
I think our Indian food is ten folds better. I also feel eating at home with family and friends is great. We get too easily blinded with the western ways and glitter of the west . If you must eat out why not bala ji which is just a mile away, who serve the best south indian food on a banana leaf?
Why not a neelam -e -punjab next door which serve the best Punjabi cuisines? why not Kubera and Hotel Priya at vasai west who serve the best Pav Bhaji and south Indian food.
Indian food is one of the best in the world . The pickles, chutneys, raitas and papads to go along with it .
I wish we had places like Paranthe Wali Gali of delhi, Chandni Chowk at vasai too . An old shop established there in the year 1872 now sells 45 different paranthas including "Shastri Paranta" that Our former PM ate .
Though I wish the Gali made stuff in a more hygienic way and served tawa fry not deep fried Paranthas . But what once pulled in Indira Gandhi, Nehru ji and Late shri Lal bahadur shastri and now sheela Dixit must be a remarkable place. Yes they have all dined here.
I dont need taste at the expense of my health, I want taste bhi aur health bhi.like we get from our diverse Indian food from various states and cultures . I once visited Ratnagiri Malvani hotel, Mira Road, Mumbai and had the best vegetarian, malvani thali .
The mushrooming of mcdonald's, pizza corners and KFC's wasn't even needed .
Kahan freshly made sol kadi, coconut chutney and sambhar aur kahan shelf life wali tomato sauce .
Modern food is not what you think it is, commercial food is a very low prana food. I wish you guys knew the whole truth behind the curtains .
The present generation is a very sick generation . we don't eat whole foods anymore or food as it exists in nature . How many of you remember Akshays Namastey London?
Do you remember Akshay drinking raw cow's milk and Rishi ji eating the homemade butter made right before him . Maybe not, but maybe some of you may remember katrina puking and fainting after smelling pure desi ghee.
Food Inc a great video on youtube shows the kind of cruelty commercially farmed animals are subject to. How they(chicken) are bloated with grains and ripened in 48 days instead of 70 . These chicken have been genetically modified, alas! Their genes were turned greedy to grow fatter and faster.
They are made so fat that they can't even walk a few steps . Sometimes they just turn turtle and die . They are kept in extra dark rooms without any ventilation . So that others don't panic on seeing their dying partners . They are cramped so badly, they can hardly move or budge .
Yesterday I was so perturbed to see genetically altered animals especially featherless chicken, done so especially so that 2% cost cutting may happen which goes into removing feathers . Though I don't think it has any association with Mcdonald's
The kind of emotions they feel and the kind of genetically modified crap they are fed will all get transferred to you, I bet. How can it be otherwise
.and then we order the "chicken this" and a "mutton that" with such great pride . Even if they have to do a poultry or animal farming, could they not be more ethical about it?
Though I am not a proponent of non-vegetarian food or even a supporter of it but if you must eat non-vegetarian food, it can be sea food, goan food or malvani food/ konkan food not cheap mass production meat from animals who undergo fires of hell.
But then commercial food needs to be made as cheap as possible and that can't be done keeping morals in mind . Earlier all food was organic . I grew organic food at Dehradun without realising its called organic .

In the end all I will say is eat like your grandma and grandpa does or if you are old enough like you mom and dad do .
Don't always go the west way, it's not the best way. Most kids in the US can't even differentiate a tomato from a potato, as their parents hardly ever cook at home . US is a very sick and obese nation, don't always ape them .
