It is one of the largest private non banking life insurers in india. Max life insurance caters to approximately about 30000000 customer base in india offering life insurance policy. Besides, life insurance policies it also covers health, pension, annuity to child, retirement, protection, savings and growth considered one of its defining characteristic. In 2016 Max life insurance merged with HDFC life. This merger will make them one of the largest listed companies by the end of 2017 with estimated market value of INR 67000 crore.
